Medical Museum Workshops #2

Our second set of workshops kicked of with a ceramics session with Elaine Lim-Newton. In this 1 hour session, staff members created figures in clay, inspired by the Stanford-Binet childhood development tool:

And in Dawn Jutton's workshop, staff members were invited to create poetry inspired by the image that Dawn created for the project:

"Sweet smelling memories, all covered in cloth,

Shiny and creaky and sits in the loft.

Sweet smelling memories, of items to share

My lovey Gran's basket now sits all laid bare"

- Just one of the amazing poems staff created in just 10 minutes, originally inspired by an old photo from the UHDB Medical Museum collection. Amazing what people came up with, and the impact the image and Dawn's words had!
