We are excited to see some works in progress from some of our lead artists for our "Cabinet of Curiosities" element of the Air Arts "Curiosity" exhibition coming up soon! We are fascinated to see how our artists have engaged with their selected objects and can't wait to see the final works!
David Walton, who has selected the anatomical hand, has already started to make some beautiful sketches based on the anatomy of the hand and various positions and movements.
Dawn Jutton, has taken this wonderful photograph (and has taken some great photographs of our collection!) is exploring her interest the roles of women from the UHDB Medical Museum collection and it's connection to the Enlightenment period.
Here are Elaine Lim Newton's drawings for her ceramic piece, inspired by an amazing object (photograph by Dawn Jutton) which was to aid child development, look at the tiny doll's house items!
The artists will be sharing their exploration of the collection through this exhibited work and also a wellbeing workshop for UHDB staff (keep your eyes peeled staff for the upcoming staff workshops from all four lead Artists!)
